Design Process

At Project Twenty One, the design journey is structured to make creating your landscape seamless and enjoyable - from first ideas through to construction.

Step 1: Initial Conversation
The process begins with a complimentary 30-minute chat (phone or via Zoom). This is a chance to explore your vision, lifestyle needs, and project goals, as well as touch on feasibility, timing, and budget.

Step 2: Design Proposal
A tailored design proposal is then prepared, outlining the scope of work, deliverables, and fee structure. Once approved, the design phase begins.

Step 3: Concept Design
An initial design is developed, focusing on layout, hardscaping, and key features. Within about three - four weeks, the concept is presented for review via Zoom.

Step 4: Refinement
Clients are invited to review draft drawings and provide feedback. This step ensures the design fully reflects the intended vision.

Step 5: Final Design Package
After refinements, a comprehensive design package is delivered, which may include:

Scaled plans (digital format)
Concept report (digital format)
Planting and material palettes (optional specifications)
Optional 3D visuals

Step 6: Moving Towards Construction
Once the design is finalised, connections are made with trusted contractors for pricing and site visits. Clients can move forward at their own pace, with the option for continued involvement to oversee the build.

Fee: From $320 (ex. GST), invoiced prior to the meeting.

Travel fees may apply for projects outside 20km of Melbourne CBD (all quoted in advance).

Includes: Site visit or virtual walk-through, verbal advice, and a written follow-up via email.

Concept Plans
